CISSP Management and Architecture Concentrations Meet Demands of Increasingly Specialized Infosec Environment
SAN FRANCISCO, RSA Conference 2003, Booth 545 - April 16, 2003 - The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2 SM, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to training and certifying information security professionals worldwide, today announced management and architecture concentrations to its Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) certifications to meet the needs of an increasingly specialized information security field.
The CISSP, Management Concentration and CISSP, Architecture Concentration are designed to validate in-depth, specialized knowledge and expertise in selected areas of the consortium's CBKTM, a continuously updated compendium of information security best practices first compiled by (ISC)2 in 1989. The CISSP is a prerequisite for both concentrations.
Last month, (ISC)2 announced the Information System Security Engineering Professional (ISSEPCM), a new concentration developed under a joint effort between (ISC)2 and the United States National Security Agency, Information Assurance Directorate (NSA/IAD). The ISSEP focuses on the unique information security needs of federal government agencies.
