Madrid, July 23 2003 - The Apache Software Foundation has released(*) the
new version 1.3.28 of its HTTP server which, among other improvements, fixes
three new vulnerabilities detected in previous versions.

This version of Apache is principally a security and bug fix release. Of particular note is that 1.3.28 addresses and fixes the following issues: CAN-2003-0460 (cve.mitre.org) (rotatelogs bug), VU#379828 (infinite loop potential), and file descriptor leakage .
These security problems are:

- A possible denial of service (DoS) affecting Apache logs when receiving
the characters
