The Register is running a story about Sarah Gordon's interviews with many virus writers. The stereotype of the "spotty nerd" doesn't apply. They come in all shapes and sizes. Males have girlfriends, and the Females have boyfriends. Sarah, a principal at Symantec and Ph.D. candidate goes on to say "that the more recent idea that virus writing activity is focused mainly around money-making scams is inaccurate."
