Prince_Serendip writes "I would like to extend a big thank you to Juergen Schmidt, an editor with the German technology magazine Heise Security, for taking aim at the antivirus companies who are severely criticizing Consumer Reports for daring to test their antivirus software against new forms of malware. Consumer Reports, a respected consumer product testing group, created 5,500 new virus variants to test the current crop of popular antivirus software.
