Here at CastleCops we have so many Forums that I, as Forums and News Admin, can not keep an eye on all of them and all that happens. One forum that had its roots in a private staff forum about all the nice things and thanks that were being said about the Staff and how much help we had provided has evolved into its present form the Happy Events forum.
It no longer is just a private “backslapping” forum for the staff of CastleCops – it is truly a place to post Happy Events - as evidenced by the following thread started by Oldfrog (an old staff member - you sexy thang! – jk L.)
“Back in the fall of 1963, when I was 18, I met a 16 year old girl on a blind date. We fell in love (the first time for both of us) and dated for 2 1/2 years. We separated in the spring of 1966 and lost contact for the next 40 years.
We both married others, raised families, and saw our marriages eventually fail. During the entire 40 years I never stopped loving her and always regretted losing her. As it turns out, she felt the same about me.
We came into contact again at the end of this last July through an unlikely set of coincidences and quite literally picked up right where we had left off 40 years before.
A week ago today we were belatedly joined in marriage. The photo on the left was taken in the fall of 1965 and was to have been our engagement picture. The one on the right was taken immediately following the ceremony.”
