Hey all,

During my Thanksgiving travels I'd like to use an old laptop i have with a dead hard drive.(Knoppix 3.8 live-cd) The laptop though, doesnt have an ethernet port built in. So my question is, do any of you know of a wireless adapter that is known to work well with Knoppix v3.8? Thanks.

No direct answer but this is a good place to start looking.

If you go for a USB unit you need to watch that both the USB chip and the WiFi unit are Linux compatable. I have a Linksys WUSB11 v4 that my system doesn't even see and a flea market $5 USB unit that works like a champ.
