Ethereal is a GTK+-based network protocol analyzer, or sniffer, that lets you capture and interactively browse the contents of network frames. The goal of the project is to create a commercial-quality analyzer for Unix and to give Ethereal features that are missing from closed-source sniffers. Screenshot available here. Windows binaries available here. Changes: You can now build display filters on the fly by right-clicking on tree view items. New dissectors include DHCPv6, DLSw, IAPP, SCSI, SPOOLSS RPC, SliMP3, and TSP. Lots more were updated, including AIM, LDAP, NFS, syslog, and TCP.
