I'll kick this off with the following: http://www.freehackers.org/~tnagy/kdissert/ Kdissert is a really slick little app that is kind of like a "mind map" only more... it runs quick, does it's job beutifully and.....has a flash demo...to show you how to use it... I've used it for a while with a business thingy I'm doing... Automatix is a boon on Ubuntu and Kubuntu, specially for installing Flash, codecs etc.

Just a shame it screws up package management and security wherever it goes! IMO a great idea implemented by Microsoft developers... Very Happy

http://gambas.sourceforge.net/ Gambas - for those who are used to Visual Basic programming. It's not exactly VB though, but some of the syntax are very similar to VB.
