I have tried installing both the norton products (Norton Internet Security 2008 & norton 360 1.0) and I keep getting an error during the installation symcuw during the activation I don't why? I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the product several times and also remove all the norton folders manually but still I'm not able to install both the softwares someone please help me and tell me what should I do ???
Please reply as soon as possible???

Yes I have already tried the Norton removal tool, I have tried removing all the symantec folders manually but still it's not working ???

Hia,
Try to install the NIS 2008.5 version. It should solve the problem.
Remove all the remains of old installation with Norton Removal Tool (www.symantec.com/symnrt).
Download the latest installation file: http://liveupdate.symantec.com/upgrade/NIS081550.exe
At the begining of the installation the program downloads all the latest patches, do not cancel the downloads.

I've been having the same problem on about 4 machines. Stumbled on to the answer. Symantec was no help, but I put together a list of all similarities between the 4 machines, and when I looked at them one thing stood out: DYNAMIC DISKS! Following web published doco for reverting to basic disk from dynamic, and presto, was able to get past this install error. Not sure if the 2008.5 will fix it, but I KNOW this will...
