Thanks again - I am doing search now and will probably download CCleaner - I also run google desktop search and really use it a lot to find my old files - will CCLeaner affect Google's capability to find files?

I only found the most recent 4 Uninstall files that I left there just in case - should I get rid of them too?

Those are log files. Yes you can delete them. Just be sure they end in *.log

As much as I like and trust Piriform, CCleaner, and Recuva, I wouldn't entrust my data to a new defragmenter, beta or not.
Diskeeper and Diskeeper Lite have been around for many, many years (they are on version 11 now), and their software will unlikely contain any bugs that may lead to data loss. Diskeeper, by the way, is developed by the same company that wrote the original Windows defragmenter: Executive Software.

Only if your system is working OK. I would wait until the next Patch Tuesday, second Tuesday on the month. That is when Microsoft issues updates. After you have installed them your will have new $NtUninstall folders. Keep the new and delete the older ones.
As for me. I generally delete all of them when I think about it. Like just now.

Ummm, Ok. That's why I warned it was a beta. That said, I don't entrust my data to any defragmenter, beta or no. Defragging is risky. Power or RAM failure right during a critical write and you are hosed. Have a current backup.
