I tried to install Comodo 3 on my winXP-2 system yesterday. What a hassle! It did not install properly and will not uninstall. Even trying to root out keys from the regedit utility in safe mode did not get rid of all of it.
On top of it, the installation routine ran a scan and about 30 seconds after it started, it would get stuck on 100% resources, requiring a hard reboot. I had to reauthorize Windows, and I had to use the telephone to do it because it prevented me from getting connected to the internet.
I downloaded Glary utilities and Winsock fix on another computer to run on my problem computer, and they were unable to get me hooked up to the internet.
Short of reformatting and reinstalling Windows, what suggestions can be made to help me at least get internet connectivity back?
I don't think I have any malware. I had been running Counterspy and NOD pretty regularly, and I had also been running Kerio before I decided to try Comodo because of a suggestion in Windows Secrets newsletter. _________________ Regards,

Hi Alan, Have you had a read through this?
[url=http://forums.comodo.com/help_for_v3/comprehensive_instructions_for_completely_removing_comodo_firewall_pro_3_info-t17220.0.html
]Removing Comodo Firewall[/url]
It's a bit long winded but as you see others have had the same problems as you. Hope it helps.

Yeah, actually I did see that. I'll be working on it tonight. You can see what's been going on with me by reading the thread I started on that forum, along with other responses.
If anyone else can give me clues, I would be most grateful. I get the feeling I should have stuck with Kerio.
Any suggestions? _________________ Regards,

IMHO I think v3 is more trouble then it is worth, I tried it and reverted to the earlier version after a couple of weeks. I intend to try Online-Armor as soon as I have got a few system updates done and a little bit more time!
