|
|
Hi,
Not posted for a long while, just noticed a couple of PM's that I neglected to answer from a couple of years ago when Prevx was causing problems with my DVD & Floppy drives.
I have done a quick search but there is just so much stuff here I could not find anything relevant.
Prevx has been fairly trouble free, lurking in the background with the occasional warning prompt or update.
However, in the past week or so, whenever I attempt to open anything, in particular IE, my PC slows to a crawl.
By using Task Manager I have found that if I try to open IE, Prevx instantly takes up 99% of system resources, causing a long delay in loading the initial web page.
To prove my point, I have disabled Prevx and the pages load instantly.
Has something in Prevx changed in the past few weeks to account for this?
Jim.

Still having same problem.
If I have Prevx active it takes almost 40 seconds to load the Google homepage using IE.
If I disable Prevx it takes around 3 seconds.
However if I use Safari Beta browser I can open the Google homepage in around 5 seconds with Prevx active.
My connection is a 20 meg BB cable.
Jim.

Uninstall, install v1.0.2 build 127 and see if it solves the problem?
