I get this message every time at startup, it appears again when I close it. Suspending the process seems to stop the message, but it appears again at next startup. I'm using XP SP3, this problem has happened before I installed SP3 and a repair installation of windows doesn't fix it.

Generic host process for win32 services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Send error report/Don't send

Is it possible to find out what in services/processes in svchost.exe caused this error?

Thanks.

Checking event logs might help

My Computer (Right click) -> Manage -> Event Viewer -> System

(From top menu 'Action' -> Clear all events, can clear up the past, and just start from fresh start at the events)

Good luck!
