My newly downloaded version 8 takes 2 and a half hours for a scan compared to 1 and a quarter for 7.5. It also shows some 700,000 objects scanned compared to 7.5 which showed about 60,000 objects. Is this version so much more thorough?!

I see a similar increase in time and objects scanned. Is this not due to the Anti-Spyware component that wasn't in version 7.5? Perhaps some of the settings on the 'How to scan' tab need changing so that the objects scanned by both versions match.

Any suggestions as to settings? I moved the slider to Fast Scan but it made little difference.

I realised I was connected to my two PC network, now at Fast Scan it took 1 &1/4 hour and 600,000 objects. This is quite OK but the question is does the Fast Scan reduce the efficiency of the program?
