Even when using the latest version, since today I keep getting the error mentioned in the first post of this thread.
I checked, and I have IMAP enabled.

you mean the line 145-error? It could be that imap @ google is just having the hickups. If this persists through tomorrow then email me.

Looks like Google doesn't want to forward my spam anymore (sometimes?)

Would it be a good idea to add the feature to gknujon that would allow it to forward the spam from another SMTP ?
Staff Edit: email address amended _________________ The Way

You may want to munge your knujon reporting address there buddy
What does your config file look like for gknujon (or gspamcop if you use that)?
Most importantly, how many messages do you have it set to send per message?
Perhaps you've just "hit the barrier" and Google won't allow the large amount of messages (or, possibly even the message size) to be forwarded over their network.
I personally, have my set to "11"
Without any problems thus far (though It has been a while since I've used the plugin....so perhaps Google has stepped in and is restricting spam forwarding in mass amounts....? Who knows...)
But yea, try throttling the -maxReportSize number first....

keep us posted, i'm curious to see if that was a one time thing and/or if that solved your issue. If not I will consider implementing the use of alternate smtp-servers.
meanwhile, have fun,

Something I was thinking, would be to have an alternative method for bundling the messages, especially for gspamcop, in which spamcop states (somewhere on their site....) they only take spam submissions that are less than ~40KB (example...I can't remember the exact value).
Now, I don't know if the "overflow" would be bounced, letting you know you sent "too much" - or if those messages that "overflow" are just gobbled up into oblivion (dev/null/? lol) or something

Believe it or not but I still have both emails where you requested those features, they're not ignored, just in the queue
I'll get to them and inform you when I do.

Feeling the pressure and that my thesis cold wait another day I started to have a look at it, those limits are fine when it comes to messages smaller than 40kB, but what about single message that exceed that size, as that frequently happens with image/pdf spam?
Just discard those?

neat-o glad to see they are still on the radar :)

Send those messages alone, as a single-message/forward, containing only one attachment, the 40kB+ message.
When it comes down to the SpamCop parser, I'm thinking it "should" simply "truncate" part of the message (trim the ending a bit, leaving a complete header, and partial body).
Perhaps this could be put under a "test" - i.e.: compile a 40kB "test spam" and forward/attach it, and throw it at a submit.xxx@spamcop reporting address and see how the parser "parses" the forwarded spam (if at all).
I know back when I looked up the limits, and asked at the forums, nobody really knew the answer, nor how the "overflow" (ie. a message with spam attachments being over 40kB) - nobody seemed to know (or could/would tell me anyways) what happens to the "overflow" - whether it is simply sent to the "bit bucket", or if the "limit" is really no "limit" - but more of a "rule" to put spam submission-size into perspective so as not to be bombarded with 150KB spam files, etc :)
