Let's put the FUN back into DysFUNction at CastleCops Religious Forum!
How about a harmless little game of religious trivial pursuit?
Maybe we can all learn some unexpected little bits of Trivia about Religion?

It's not clear how your question about the Ku Klux Klan relates to religion.
You may be interested in knowing that the Klan was anti-Catholic. Some sources indicate that the Klan was so before it was anti-black.
Here you can find the details of a confrontation between Catholics and the Klan early in the twentieth century:

In that Lilly encounter, three men died of gunshot wounds and at least 20 men were injured. |

Hah..wrong! It's John 11:35, "Jesus swept." It was right after the wedding at Canaan. Oh wait. No, you're right...just rechecked ....it is, indeed "Jesus wept". But it was probably from a dust mote in his/her eye from sweeping up after the wedding at Canaan. After all, a God which is immutable could hardly express emotion.
Wait, though. The OT God(s) Yahweh / Yahweh Sabaoth / Elohim / Eloah / El / El Shaddai / El Elyon / El Olam / El Berith / El Roi / Adonai and Baal certainly were capable of expressing emotion. How that squares with "immutable" (unchanging) is beyond me. And Jesus did get somewhat perturbed with the moneychangers at the temple. And of course there's the wrath of God, jealousy, hate, the laughing God of Psalms, etc. All sorts of emotions. In fact God would appear to be somewhat of an emotional wreck when you extrapolate the time frame of the bible into eternity. How can God even function? Bipolar? Not beyond reason.
Good thing God is a fictional character. I would hate to be dependant on an emotional roller coaster. Immutable indeed.
But I digress. I'll have to come up with a tougher nut to crack. How about......for the Golden Calf......can you name the Jewish and Islamic philosophers (one of each) who had a strong influence on medieval Christian thinkers?

Hey Jo. I'm thinking of one particular Jewish fellow (hint - named after one of the patriarchs), and one particular Islamic philosopher (hint - has an aka). Both influenced medieval Christian thinkers.
Hello David...the answer to your poser has to be the Church of Rome, my old alma mater. Tho I'm not sure how "lately" fits the mold.

Since the fall of godless communism, the CR has trained their sights on sexual minorities and abortion in their drive to instill fear in the less educated and thereby raise the filthy lucre they require to unite church and state, inflict their "moral values" on you, me and your Aunt Tilley's dog,, and ultimately, to replace democracy with theocracy (like Iran).

Right on with your last line, because I've said in a couple of posts..."The Roman Catholic Maferrumm Church!"
Kiss the Pope's ring...Not in MY lifetime will I bow to someone who thinks he's a God on earth! Bow down before the Pope...No F'in way! He can bow down to me. After all I am a Queen & Us Queens who live on Queen St. (Been in the same place for just over 3 years now )
