Hi. I need HELP! I have a...

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Processor Speed 1.56 GHz
Memory (RAM) 128 MB
Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.60GHz

It’s running like a 14.4 dial up on hold when I refresh PC takes like 20 to boot fully. It lags in programs, it lags on the net, and it basically belongs to my kids. I have taken control of it and cleaned as much as I can. I’ve ran spybot - cleanup - lovasoft Adaware - and ewido....

It seems to run slightly better yet still is way way to slow I believe for what it is..Below is a current hijack-this report I just ran.. Any help is much appreciated

The HJT forum is very busy ... please be patient ... while waiting, follow the MRP to clean your system.

If you complete the MRP before one of the 1st Responders or Security Experts assists you, please post an after MRP HJT log in this same thread.

Please note everyone that you MUST be a CastleCops member to be helped in the HJT Forum. If you are not a member, please join CastleCops, it's completely free, and confirm your membership by posting again to this topic while logged in as a member.

You are using an old and outdated version of HJT, and we won't work from that. Delete it from your system. Please click Here to download HijackThis to your desktop.

Click the Download button. When the Trend Micro HJT install box appears, double click on the HJTInstall.exe. Click on Install.

It will be installed by default here: C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis

A shortcut to the application will also be placed on your Desktop.

The program will open automatically after installation.

You can double-click the icon that was placed on the Desktop to run subsequent HijackThis scans or you can use the icon inside the folder. The folder HijackThis is where you will find the HJT logs that you save. When you use the application to remove anything, you will also find the backup copies made by HJT inside this folder.

Click on "Do a system scan and save logfile" When the log pops up in Notepad, click on the Notepad Format menu and uncheck Word Wrap, then copy and paste that file back here.

DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Before closing HJT, please click on the AnalyzeThis button. That sends purely statistical data to TrendMicro so they can continue to improve HJT. It does not analyze your log, it simply lists what HJT finds, both legitimate software and malware. Do not take any action or try to fix anything based upon that information. Then, close the web page that appears and then close the program HJT.

Thanks for the fast reply.. I ununstalled old hijackthis and did the new ver.. below is a log.. I also followed some of the tips while waiting for next reply such as

1. Ran new CCleanup
2. deleted old unused programs and files
3. did the XP dll file clean up & update
4. Ran new hjthis (file below)
