Because he's barking like crazy! Like around 12 barks in a row every 5 minutes or so! I've had Winpatrol for a few years now. This started a few days ago, after I updated to Ver 15.9.2008

Any fix .. besides turning my speaker volume off?

When he barks, and I hover over his icon, I see "Scotty is reviewing IE helpers"

Win XP if that matters.

You can go to the options tab and uncheck play sounds.
But still why the alerts? You install any new IE helpers and what IE helpers is the alert about?

Are you using IE to get online?
Can you post the WinPatrol info on the alerts?
Help to know what the alert is.

IE Helper are like add-ons for IE.

Like I use Firefore all the time but still have IE and some IE Helpers.
I got IE Helper's for
Sun Java
Spybot - Search & Destroy

Turns out the WinPatrol was corrupted or something, a fresh re-install of the program solved my problems, or,
Scotty's problem Smile

what's up with this Image verification, took me 5 tries to get it right ..

Good to hear you got it fix and lets hope scotty does bark only when he should.

Guess you still have not got it JoeWood because your a Guest on all but the first post.

Yes you got that darn image thing. I don't keep cookies here but do have CastleCops remember me.
When you login check the box to remember you and login and have your password manager remember who you are or keep the cookies so it can remember.
