So much for the "miracle" of transubstantiation. Guess it just doesn't work on rice wafers.

I imagine that little girl is shattered. This is a very important event in the life of a young Catholic girl (& boy) involving relatively arduous preparation, purchase of a new white Communion dress, all the pomp and circumstance of a grand ball, in short, a rite of passage.

Whatever happened to "suffer the young children on to me"? Only if they eat wheat? This is disgusting. No wonder people are abandoning the church.

The members of the Catholic clergy responsible for this terrible decision really screwed up.
