Hi all,

I've just installed SuSE 9.3 on my machine and most of it seems good but I'm unable to get the sound to work. I can rip a CD but I can't play it back. The Test Sound button in Control Center doesn't make any sound either. I'm guessing I just need to turn it on/unmute it, but don't know where to look. Very new at Linux.

Any help would be appreciated. -Charlie.

Look under Multimedia and Volume Control on the main menu.

Hi stan qaz,

Thanks for answering.
Under Output, in Kmix, I've got all of the sliders set to about 70%. Is there any thing else I should look for?

Edit:

Went back into windows for a while and when I rebooted into Linux, sound was working. I guess I'm set for a while. Will probably be back with more questions soon. javascript:emoticon('Very Happy')

Leave Kmix running on the panel and you should be fine.
