I would very much like to see CastleCops publish a comprehensive and authoritative review of Ghost Security Suite, including the Tested Ghost Groups discussed at the Wilders Forum (link given below).
Product Name: Ghost Security Suite (RegDefend and AppDefend)
Product Type: Kernel level protection for the Registry and for Applications.
Software Developer: Ghost Security
Developers website: http://www.ghostsecurity.com/
Official Forum: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=71
Version: I believe the combined applications are in Beta evaluation.

I must have misinterpreted the concept of this thread--my apologies. I was requesting a review, not offering to write one. Any such review that I would author would, unfortunately, be neither comprehensive nor authoritative.
Best regards,
RL

It would be a user review and that is usually the best kind. No fluff, just the bare truth from your point of view. _________________ "Anyone who considers protocol unimportant has never dealt with a cat."

I can only reiterate that any such review that I would author would be neither comprehensive nor authoritative. If you prefer, read that as useless
Just take my post as an error on my part. Again, my apologies.
Best regards,
RL

Howdy,
No apologies needed!

That I do not believe as a Review is based on your views of how easy the software is to install, use, uninstall, how easy is it to configure to do the things you want it to do, how difficult (or not) it is use etc.
You may not know the software but your views on the above are just as important as those of the profi that uses it everyday. We are all at different user levels and what is easy and useful for one user is worthless to someone else. So that said - your review would not be "useless"!
Think about it and let me know if I should add this or not. _________________ "Anyone who considers protocol unimportant has never dealt with a cat."

With all due respect, scholarship and incompetence do not mix well.
By all means, please do not add my request.
Once again, my apologies for having misinterpreted the objective of this thread.
Best regards,
RL

Reviews:
Product: F-Secure 2006 6.12 build 90
Product class: Anti/everything
Vendor: F-Secure
url: www.f-secure.com
I just used this, not impressed. Would like to see what others have to say. System tested should have the sony rootkit on it. F-secure did not report finding it, along with many other trojans and spywares (170+) including adware.betterinternet. _________________ Barking at squirrels can be such a release, but they never come down, they just sit their and taunt me!
