It seems like a logical option for blacklisted mails is omitted. We can mark for deletion, delete after processing, delete immediately. But there is no option to hide the email like there is for the friends list. I don't automatically add deleted mails to my blacklist, so am doing automatic deletion. I'd rather be conservative and do that after processing, but don't want them in my visible mails for the first look at things.

Thanks!

What good would hiding them do? The regular mail client is going to download them if they are not deleted.

Wouldn't they be deleted when processed like other filtered mail?

If you are going to delete them without looking there is no appreciable difference from auto delete. I misunderstood your intent. Sorry!

If you have 200 mails in the list, you may want to hide
sure items to check gray ones easily.

Just click on the heading of the column, and they will all be sorted off by themselves.

But how many blacklisted emails do you have? All the spam has fake return addresses. (Mostly they are using our addresses in the "from" to annoy us with the bounces. If you blacklist those senders you're only blacklisting your fellow anti-spammers.) So the blacklist function is only useful for email from legitimate companies who won't unsubscribe you or real people you know who won't stop emailing you. Most of us don't bother with the blacklist any more, so there isn't a lot of call for any refinement of the function.

Aha!, good idea.

There are plenty. I blacklist *@*.cn for example.

But the spam that actually comes from china would likely not have that in the fake "from" address.

Yes, you are right. There also are many which has .cn, too. .br, .kr, ro and .hk as well.

The *@netzero.com shares about 10-20% recently.
