This is my first post. i decided to install yahoo msg. today. afterwards i noticed that my yahoo toolbar had disappeared. to be honest i do not know if it was there before downloading msg. but i do know it was there when i was last online. i have went to "view" and it was still there and still checked. i had my toolbars locked though and for some reason that was not checked. i even uninstalled it (toolbar) and reinstalled it but still no toolbar. last night i did run spybot. it did not get to completely finish because we got hit by a severe storm and i needed to unplug my computer. didn't want to take a chance on it getting hit by lightning.

i am using windows 98 and ie version 6

any help would be appreciated. it is driving me nuts! i have looked and looked for it.

thanks for the info. i am going to go through everything on the site you sent the link to. there is quite a bit to go over.

i had thought about uninstalling both the toolbar AND messenger. because when you download msg., it also installs the toolbar during the download. i do not know if that caused a problem since i already had the toolbar.
