Team CastleCops is an effort allowing individuals to contribute directly to various ongoing scientific research programs through a distributed computing scenario.
Current research programs cover a range of interesting investigations having both practical and theoretical significance, including:
Studies of protein structure and function via Folding@Home.
Climatic modeling related to Global Warming via ClimatePrediction.net.
The search for Gravitational Waves via Einstein@Home.
The search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence via SETI.
As our good friend and colleague seafsee would doubtless say…
Make a Difference!

Greetings seafsee,
Thanks for that information. Just to be certain that everyone understands the fundamental concept of Chess960@Home...
| Chess960@Home.org wrote: | | Chess960 is a young innovative chess variant. In Chess960, just before the start of every game, the initial configuration of the chess pieces is determined randomly, that means that the king, the queen, the rook, the bishop and the knight are not necessarily placed on the same home squares as in classical chess. |
Emphasis added for clarity.
Best regards,
RL
