My computer has crashed 5 time`s in 2 day`s, the reason i have found ( i think) Confused is related to 1 of 2 thing`s or both ? Either Norton System Works or Surf Apps, pro popup stopper. Error message I found in WBEMCORE LOG FILE message error go`es like this. Error occured executing queued request loading provider" date+ time" two provider`s supplied conflicting instance`s for key name C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM\\ir32_32.dll then exactly 18minute`s later in all instance`s core physically unloaded. This file can not be found on my system, (error this is not a legitimate file ) So i patiently went to REGEDIT there i found using the find facility the file that seem`s to be causin the problem
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER\EXPLORER BAR`S\{C4EE31F3-4768-11D2-BE5C-00A0C9A83DA1}\FILE`S NAMED MRU
ab 000 "ir32.dll
ab 006 "ir32_32.dll
obviously 1 of those instance`s is incorrect, the question is which one a little help would be greatly appreciated. ( ir32.dll is in fact on my system )
WINDOWS ME 4.90.3000 PLEASE HELP IM SICK OF CRASHING Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Hi,

I am running WinMe on this box.

I have c:\windows\system\ir32_32.dll There is no sign of the other file.

My registry entry just says ab "default" value not set

Hope that this helps

Hi albat,

As far as I can see it should not be in "users" at all, and the one you want in "current user" is ir32_32.dll.

You could always get one of the computer mags and reinstall IE from the cover CD? if it goes pear shaped (which it should not)

Good luck mate and post back if you have any problems Very Happy

every thing i have read on this points to the following:
IR32_32.DLL (an Indeo codec [compression/decompression]
This a driver needed for standard Microsoft video compression/decompression.
since all i have read only talks about ir32_32.dll and nothing about ir32.dll i would says removing ab 000 "ir32.dll from the registery would be the right step. NOTE: back up the reg first then export the reg key that you are changing. this way if something goes wrong you have a way back.

I've got exactly the same problem with my WinME. Did you have solved yours ? If so, How ?
I thank you very much for any support you will like to provide.
