Anonymous surfing and strong encryption

1) Anonymous surfing
How do you surf anonymously?
What programs do you use? Why?

2) Encryption
What programs have probably the best encryption and hard to crack?
Note: It doesn't matter whether the porgram needs to be paid. As long as the program is good, it's fine.

What programs do you use for the following:
- files and folders
- instant messenging
- emailing
- file and data transfers

Thanks for your sharing. ;D[/b]

Hello Wai_Wai,

See this:

http://www.tech-faq.com/anonymous-surfing.shtml

I use Tor/Torpark.

There are some downsides to anonymous surfing:

Why do you use both Tor and Torpark?
I think using either one is enough.

The best encryption today is SecurStar's DriveCrypt. It can use up to 1344 bit Triple Blowfish + 256 bit SHA for the keys (up to 4 of them), plus container inside container encryption for double or higher multi-algorithm encryption.

It works with any kind of internal or external drive, can do full drive, virtual drive containers or steganography. And it has a portable mode as well.

Actually I'm using these programs mostly to satisfy my own curiosity; I don't do anything on the internet that is illegal, unethical, or that would otherwise embarass me if my grandmother were to find out what I was doing. Wink

Tor can be used with any browser; Torpark is a modified version of Firefox with Tor included. To get maximum anonymity with Torpark you must separately install and configure Privoxy; Privoxy is included in the Vandalia-Tor bundle.

"Fixed" referred to the removal of an accidental duplicate post in this thread at the request of the OP. I don't know why this thread was marked done, and will change that.
