I've never had any version of Antivir installed on my 98,but it insists I did!
Can't get past this box that pops up telling me to uninstall it,when al I had was AVG?
I'd like to try this but I'm not impressed so far!

What is the exact error message?
see if this util helps removing the reference
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/
also empty the contents of temp folders.

Took 5 minutes to install AVAST and it's running great!
So what's the problem with Antivir?
