I have been using two different programs (one or the other not both at once) to bypass my ISP's outgoing mail filtering that is blocking MW's sending SpamCop and BlueFrog spam reports.

First is http://www.softstack.com/freesmtp.html which is a simple and quick to install program. It offers little in the way of features but it will send your spam reports with no problems.

I've been having problems with mi mail server NTLWorld submitting spam to SpamCop via MW and changing to Yahoo mail ran into other problems. Now I use Googlemail, but, recently have been getting Global SMTP errors when submitting spam, but, can send ordinary mails via them with OE. Seeing your suggestion I downloaded and installed Freesmtp mailer. Could you perhaps run through the configuration so that I can use it with MW for submitting spam to SC?

I've entered localhost as the SMTP server, but, what about the Advanced tab? At present in the Advanced tab I have my Googlemail Username and Password entered along with selecting Port 465 and checking "This server requires SSL" and "My SMTP server requires authentication" which is the protocol for Googlemail. Do I have to change anything here?

The advanced stuff in MW should all go back to the defaults.

Ah, I see, thanks Stan. I unchecked SSL and Authentication in Advanced, the port reverted to 25 and Username and Password greyed out, then submission was sent far quicker and arrived at SC far quicker too. This is excellent and will pass on suggestion to anyone else having identical problems at SC.

Well, so much for Freesmtp mailer! I just submitted some more spam and half way through it stopped sending and I had a message that it only allowed 10 messages to be sent per day with a link to their commercial smtp server. The commercial smtp server costs $69 which IMHO is far too much for just sending spam submissions.

That is new, sort of takes it out of the running. I'd sugest you try the postcast one, that is what I was using until I switched ISPs.

At present I'm looking at ArGo Soft Free Mail Server http://www.argosoft.com/RootPages/MailServer/Default.aspx
and have it installed, but, can't seem to get it to integrate with MW or do anything for that matter.

Looks like I'll be trying Postcast after all. I presume there is no time or number of message limitations on it?

Last time I looked at it there weren't however I'm on Cox Cable now and they block port 25 so I had to go to another ISP that offered an SMTP server on a high port to get my reports out.

The ArgoSoft server looks interesting, what error messages are you getting from it? What errors does MW show if you go to help-about and turn on logging?

Have you tried to telnet to it and send a message (telnet localhost 25) and looked at its replies?

I have been using MWP to report spam to Spamcop and configured it to report to Knujon as well.
CastleCops Link/postlite158764-knujon+hack+blue+frog.html
But recently my ISP is filtering these reports (outgoing) and blocking them as spam because the subject says "SPAM report". Is there a way to reconfigure the way MWP reports these to change the subject line?
Thanks!!

As users we couldn't do that, it would require an update to MWP. I have a similar problem with my IP and had to open a Google Mail account to submit reports with. If you don't have a Google Mail account and would like one I'd be happy to send you an invite, just drop me a mail with your address on and I'll send you it.
