i was using my (other) PC this morning and it froze all of a sudden, and then it shut off itself. now it wont turn on at all. my brother says it smells burnt but when we looked at it nothing seemed out of the ordinary. i dont know if this is the right site to ask this, but if anyone knows how to help, please do. i need it terribly.

The key question: "Did it smell more like burnt toast or was it more of a burnt marshmallow scent?"

My guess: Power supply. (Least expensive option to boot!) Check out the General Hardware forum. They may be able to help you narrow this showstopper down.

actually, i dont know what kind of smell it was. as far as i knew my room smelled like that from the start. when it shut off and my brother came in, he was like, "y does it smell burnt?" but i didnt smell anything odd at all. so u think its just the power supply? where should i go to replace that, or get my PC fixed?
