I wish they'd build in a feature whereby when an email address is already on your friends list, it cannot be accidentally be placed on the blacklist.

I followed the suggestions in the email newsletter that I got a few days back and have been very much more stressless in using mailwasher. Just set your friends to hide anything that comes from them. This still sends it to your email client but it bypasses even showing them in mailwasher so you don't even have to deal with them at all. No chance of accidental blacklisting that way at all Smile

That works for filters to protect your good mail too. Some mailing lists and news-letters aren't protectable with the Friends list but a simple filter to look at the mail header can tuck them safely out of sight.

Instructions on filter writing are in the wiki.

Maybe, but I am getting a bit long in the tooth to start all my braincells up again.

Have a good Christmas and New Year.

Simple filters require few brain cells, fancy regular expression ones require more. I try to avoid over stressing my cells and keep them well lubed with beer instead.
