I've found a few posts in the past months on people that have asked for this and been shot down with some pretty uncalled for expectations. One person actually told another to make a batch file to do the saving for them lol. Please can you add functionality to the program itself to save our Settings, Black/Friend lists and anything else we have to setup in the program?

Really would be helpful to many people that have no idea what a batch file is let alone to do it. I'm not one of those that don't know, but seriously I've wasted almost 45 minutes just having to search for a way to save my settings only to find that I have to do it manually myself by saving the files. I could have had my backups all done by now Razz

Hope you'll add this in for us, if it's as easy as making a batch file then adding it in should be just as easy right? lol, dunno, just know it would be very nice to be able to just redo our stuff with as little hassle as possible as we all know that just having to back up all our junk for a format is enough work as it is.

Thanks Smile

An excellent suggestion and it should be very easy to implement something like this.

Sure would be nice to have a quick button that would export / import account information. I know for a fact that exporting the info from the registry files does not guarantee successful reinstallation of MWP. Would be nice to be able to pick where the saved information was heading as well. I save settings off the o/s harddrive to a long time drive.

It would be nice to be able to do the blacklist etc info as well.

Keep up the good work ))))

I can actually say this is my favorite program (excluding games haha) that I use.

Respectfully,
Me

I hope that someday MW will have an "Export Blacklist" and "Export Friends List" feature.

The lists and filters are the easy ones to backup, just click help and about and the link there. Close MW and make copies of the blacklist.txt file (includes the friends) and filters.txt file.

You really need to do this as they can be lost if Windows locks up.

Backup of accounts should definitely be available. I am really surprised this isnt a standard feature already
