I made that Calendar of Updates skin for Spybot Search & Destroy years ago and forgot all about it. | you did a great job
i look forward to seeing it
if you want to create some icons for it i will be able to include them in the installer |
Thank you. It was my first one to and took some doing. Got to download the skinner again and learn how to use it again or better yet learn to use it better because I remember trying to pick out all the colors and was changing colors on parts I did not want. I think I downloaded all the skins and found one that was close to what I wanted and then found just part to change on it.
It was so long ago I forget what all I did now.
Why are you using a installer because it's not needed. You just need to unzip the two files to the skin folder or 3 files if you add a readme.

I just don't like install something if you really don't have to. I know a installer can be just like a self.exe unpacker so really all it does is unpack it and then there is no uninstall so you can just delete things later.
I know with Poser and Daz the ad-on you get are a installer and really with them you want it because of all the files and folders they go in. When you install it your asked if you want a uninstall. You will not see it in the add/remove but if you look in the start, programs, Daz your see the shortcut listed there to uninstall.
Anyhow I use Ulead PhotoImpact and took the CastleCops text like you used from one of the post here and took out the logo. I did it because you can see the other edge of the text looks funny or choppy and look ok or bad with what ever color background is behind it. But I converted it into a a path that I can now change the texture, bevel color etc on.
Here are some I made that anyone can use.
There are 7 of them with 6 that have shadows on them and all with a transparent background.
Note a image viewer program they will not show then right because it shows a background and back where the shadow. But it should open up ok in your image program but even then the shadow may not show or saving it as a .psd file I losted the shadows when opened again in PhotoImpact.

http://xs116.xs.to/xs116/07231/logo-text.png | the uninstaller is not added to add and remove programs and the installer only changes 2 folders and creates one desktop icon (it doesn't touch the regestry)
the files can be deleted manually as well, the uninstaller is just a batch file programed to delete the files automatically
i like what you've done with the text, i might just be able to use that _________________ download the castlecops spybot skins pack here:

i took a look at them too,
and they are very good looking!
how about hewee adding in the registered trade mark "R" in a circle to the text?
My favorite so far is the one in GOLD.
put that one in a blue background, hewee.
let's see what that looks like.
can you put a link to CCSP in the GOLD one if it is used as the one for a skin?
