Congratulations Larry -- hope it does well for you.

If I hadn't been H1-B'd out years ago, I might even have bought it. Sad

Thanks. It's a lot of work but fun. Wink

I've been told already that I have been working too hard. Laughing

So, to relax I am reading my way through this as I was curious about your sig: http://72.14.207.104/search?q=cache:5Afim1V9u0YJ:tf116.org/pdf/Memories-TomGlickman.pdf+TF-116+Gamewarden (html)

Reminds me of Gregory Clark's writing. (He was a Canadian war correspondent and a great guy.) I have always loved reading. Sometime ago I found a book on the Navy SEALS in Vietnam in a bookbin and read it straight through. Tough work to do. Glad you made it back.

Hi Mike,

So far so good. Preparing for another deadline (Wed.). Taking a little break just now. I have a co-author who takes this work as seriously as I do. The publisher gave us more time too, which is nice of them. The CastleCops experts are all helping. We have a lot of vets on staff here. They seem to know where the action really is and usually pull more than their weight.

Back to work. Thumbs Up

Larry

Larry,

How close are rootkits related to (anti)keyloggers?

...And speaking of...

Do you know anything about the Raytown anti-keylogger?
A lot of those companies, which put these out just reverse program
their keyloggers, which is why I don't inherently trust them...

Thanks,

Mike________

Thanks, Mike. I appreciate it.

A keylogger might be in a rootkit's payload. Some keyloggers are being developed which use Rootkit technology so they can be "invisible" and difficult to remove. I call these rookitware.

Keyloggers are often grouped with trojans. I would suggest using Ewido, Spy Sweeper or Windows Defender.

I have SpySweeper (and a s**tload of other 'anti' apps).

I read everything I could about that Raytown product and I just don't
trust it, so I skipped it.

Btw, what's a "rookitware?"

A chess piece?!
Cheap clothes?!
Something you got cheated out of?! (Or, as we used to say,
'japped' out of, in the old days, before the great god of PC
infected everything)!

Never mind - I've been working all night. I'm gonna go crash out...

Still waiting Larry. I guess the Publisher decided to walk it over.
Probably faster than the P.O. anyway!
