Release Process

The Prevx1 Releases are delivered as follows:

- Release from Development into QA environments
- Release into internal PINBETA QA Test environment.
- Release to external PINNACLER research environment (Installer only)
- Release to external PINNACLER research environment (Updater)
- Release into PINNACLE live environment (Installer only)
- Release into PINNACLE live environment (Updater)

Timescales between all the releases is generally dictated by the size/complexity of the release and the issues returned. On occasions we may deploy the Install and Upgrades in PINNACLER together.

The releases are consistent through out the different environments. We roll each release up and use a version numbering system of vX.0.0.0 With vX.X.0.0 denoting a major and v0.0.X.X denoting a minor release.

The release numbering can jump as development/QA releases are improved and so do not run consecutively.

We do not deliver incremental updates to a release but the full product on each release. This allows backward compatibility with each version within the Prevx2.0 community, although on occasions a significant change is made which will force older versions to have to reinstall to receive the very latest.

Other products within the Prevx2.0 product range may be treated differently.
