In summary, more details to follow...

We love to thank ApplicationX for hosting us for so long, however, due to DDoS's we must move.

Prolexic has offered pro-bono services to CastleCops during DDoS attacks.

ISC OARC is now hosting CastleCops servers. We are also removing all advertisements from CastleCops and are moving toward Sponsorships.

It is sad to see this happen again. Stay the course.

I'm glad to be able to get back on here! I have come to think of the CastleCops family as my own virtual family and I missed not being able to get home the last few days! Very Happy Lots of good thoughts are coming your way Paul and Robin. Maybe some $$ too when I get my income tax return back. Very Happy

Sorry about all these troubles! I really missed the site myself!

I crashed my computer and am at my neighbor's using dial up.

I tell everyone how great the people are on this site and how helpful - I even got a chance to tell a Police Officer about Castle Cops! He thought it fascinating.

Well, I hope this mess works out Paul. I'll say a prayer for you guys too!

Laura

CC withdrawal is difficult. A DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service attack) actually makes Internet just like it was in the past with no ISP dialup. Long wait times. You have time to make a pot of coffee. Wink

Good to be back up. Great work, well done to everyone who helped and prayed. Thumbs Up

You know, I imagined DDoS was the cause of the problem, until I got an error page from Prolexic stating denial of service problems....
Wish there was a way to connect to the bad guys while theyre starting their little fun and fry them. Or just find out where they live and come and "visit" them.

You guys have my full support for anything you need, although there are literally thousands of people here who are more capable than me, I know they support this site also.

Just keep coming here to help fight the good fight, and feel free to hit that donate button now that the advertisements are gone. (If you see any else left let me know so I can remove them).

Any clues as to who the miscreants are?

This is only another step for the cyber criminals to rule the Internet, I'm afraid

If the Governments and International Organizations don't get involved, the scumbags will take down -one at a time- all sites like Castlecops and all business that oppose them like BlueFrog.

Sad, but we are seeing it happen now. Sad

probably directly related to,

ryan 1918 dot com,

back when the two new Laudansky's were on their honeymoon in Hawaii.

funny how that was during a time when there was love in the air,
and then right around Valentines day here again.

maybe not so funny too.

I wish you all the best, and nothing less.

I did not know who ryan 1918 dot com was, but when I went to check their web page, I found the following:
Quote:
Site is in the process of the move, should be up tomrorrow hopefully around 12pm EST

Maybe, as Miss Marpole says, a clue.
