Below is a list of some of the past Regular Expression Filter Threads from the MailWasher Forums here at Computer Cops. Some of the threads contain more useful information than others but they all at least contain some information.

I think it is only right to thank those people involved in these threads for contributing so much of their time knowing that their only reward was helping others.

The above posted list are by no means all of the past threads in the MailWasher Forums that have to do with filters and Regular Expressions but the list should provide a more easy hunting ground for someone who is looking for threads having to do with filters.

I too want to pay homage to Santa Claus. Denn and Ikeb are certainly right about wanting to thank whoever did all of the "Joe Friday" work. It was no easy feat and they should feel proud of their accomplishment.

I know I sure appreciate having fewer places to look for a large majority of the same info. Makes the day's work go so much faster.

One of the drawbacks of posting anonymously is that the original post to this topic can't be edited by us users (perhaps DR could though). Our anonymous benefactor who posted this topic has posted an update in the Troubleshooting forum so I've taken the liberty of re-posting the updated post here.

Because Andrey is loosing his web page (that is an absolute shame...but it happens), I am going to repost the previously posted links to 'TRegExpr' (The Regular Expression Engine used in WMP) to point to the 'Delphi' Source locations...



'TRegExpr' will download the Regular Expression Test Program.

After you install it and run it you will note the 'Global Modifiers' checkboxes at the top of the 'Expressions' page of the program. In order to have 'TRegExpr' run with the same defaults as are used by MWP, you must set these modifiers as follow:

Denn988, looks like regexstudio has done some moving around. I get nothing but 404 errors on all of the links you put in the above post. Is it just me?

Maybe one day RusticDog or someone can put the updated version of the first post, that Ikeb posted in this thread, at the top since that looks to be the finished version of the filter list.

I haven't as yet but since I'm here I'd too like to thank the person who posted the list. It helps!

Actually I should have thought to suggest that RD replace the updated version as the sticky....

As to regexstudio, I get the same thing. That didn't take long.

It looks like some site "rearrangement" is taking place. I found the English Help file at http://www.regexpstudio.com/TRegExpr/Help/RegExp_Syntax.html. It looks like more comprehensive documentation in various languages can be obtained via http://regexpstudio.com/TRegExpr/TRegExpr.html

BTW, it looks like a newer version (0.952) is now available....

Yeah, that one always gets me as well. You'd think I'd learn after wondering "What the h*** is going on with this filter now?" for the nth time!

So the latest version only has the source code eh? I forgot about wanting to install the newer version. Thanks for saving me the trouble QuiteOne.

You know ... we should be asking RD to consider building TRegExpr into MWP....
