Tried to use the standalone version of gKnujon, however it seems to give me some error. Advice needed how to proceed.

Of course it wasn't enabled, silly me. Now it seems I am using unsupported language (Finnish). I need to reconsider using this script (or changing Google language setting).

It should give you an output to mail me so I can include that in the script and the standalone version, doesn't it?

OK, here's a new one (for me, at least):
"HTTP Error 302: The HTTP Server returned a redirect error that would lead to an infinite loop.
The last 30x error message was:
Moved Temporarily
Login Successful..."
and then it exits.
Any ideas, people ?

That's a very old error, that happened when libgmail broke when google gave gmail a makeover, since then (december '07) we 've switched to imap for gmail access. The new versions (since then) shouldn't be giving this error.

OK, interesting - seems a bit odd I've got 2 PC's that both started doing this a couple of days ago at the same time but have been working perfectly well before.
So, I've just downloaded the latest standalone GKnujon from here: http://www.submanifold.be/, put in my login details as before, but when the batch file is run the executable exits as soon as it is run.
Running it from a proper command line I see the following error:

Er... it was...
Gmail seems to have restored all my "default" settings for some reason. That goes some way towards explaining why my setup suddenly stopped working (and why I didn't pay much attention to the earlier post because I knew my mail settings were correct - at one point, at least).
I'm now getting the same unsupported language error as the previous poster, my selected language at the GMail end is English (UK), although it does it in English (US) as well.
It appears to be much more likely to be a GMail problem (especially if they're going to randomly reset my preferences from time to time) than yours, so a big thanks for the prompt replies and support.

That could have had to do with the name Gmail not being allowed to be used anymore in (some) European countries. Instead they had to switch to Google Mail.
It had to do with some pretty lame patent but Google made sure that GMail isn't used anymore there, down to the imap protocol.

Having combed through all the code I believe that everything is fixed now, even UK English and Finnish should be supported now, can you verify that?

I can confirm that with Finnish language setting, gKnujon works now. This as information for others who might be interested.
There was possibly a small glitch that I dealt with in my email reply to you, rainwolf.
