You said the "B" word. You know what that means!
P.S. All double post you find from me today are courtesy of Feed Reader and will be removed as I find them.
I was working dilligently on a post and got sidetracked when an old friend dropped by, who will be moving from the area soon.
I am out of jello, if your shot taste a little strong..... _________________

Welcome to the top 10 Mr.P knocking me out. That must have been the fastest rise through the ranks in our teams history.
You'll get to 30,000 points before me to shore up them numbers. I shant be too far behind.
Congratulations! _________________

Posted: Thu Feb 17, 2005 11:22 pm Post subject: Who posted the 1,000,000 point? |
|
|
Had I not stayed awake through the night to capture the moment, thus being in great need of sleep afterwards, I might have been able to say for sure.
If not for the dedication of our members, it might have been easier to determine afterwards. Surely in the wee hours of Feb. 11 every check and capture I made revealed one lone WU being recorded. By the time we had crossed the 1,000,000 point threshold, five Work Units were recorded.
Of those five, only one of these members regularly post in the forum. We will only know who it was if the following people still have a log to check.
- Tamara_aka_Satchick
- rsclark3
- Mirin
- Kraken
- Marvin_Wilson
In addition, new team member (that day) Mister2 posted his first WU just prior to the Milestone being reached.
If these six people can look in either the current log, or the one which says "Prev" and look for the activity from Feb 11 between the hours of midnight and 6 AM Universal Time, and copy that part of their log here, we may be able to figure out who it was. The purpose of Mister2 posting is to give us a closer threshold with which to work with, because we know his was posted prior to the Milestone being reached.
In light of all this, I'd like to leave you with the reminder that we are in this for the science. The Top poster in the world himself has accumalated ten times as many points as our team.
In the meanwhile, I am working on the over-due front page article about the Milestone, so be sure to check the front page within the next few days.
On to important things... who's turn is it to buy a round in the tavern _________________

Barrius has offered numerous times to set up a machine or two in my name. After a polite early refusal, I have since moved to ignoring those offers entirely (as I'm sure he has noticed).
As it stands, if no one else takes up his offer, he is projected to even bypass satchick sometime in April. Who knows where Mr Mom@Large will wind up by then
A look at the team's current top producers will show many of the newer members making good progress => good contributions to the program and the team {Unfortunately, #11 (me) did not make this list due to lost time while running diagnostics due to some research regarding PHISHING. I shall return.}

Barrius Is cooking!!!
...of course with 20 active processors he should be!!
Satchick has 18, but she was talking recently of adding to her processor farm, so she could come on strong and start pulling away again. (it would be cool to actually make this little guy move across the frame!)

Aye! They, and every one are as deeply appreciated as the rest of them.
It matters not that your PC is slow nor that you don't have 5, 10, or twenty to add to a farm.
It's the heart of the matter which is the yardstick by which a contribution is measured. Using this yardstick, wawadave, thou art a giant of a contributor, and an asset to any team.
I, for one, am grateful you fold for team 35586.
It is no secret (though few may know) of the personal sacrifice you made for Tsuanmi victims instead of upgrading your own computer. For every one of your 10,000 posts for CCSP there is what? two more elsewhere on different forums as a volunteer helping those without your knowledge.
Yet, you don't boast.
Cheers, and God Bless You _________________

You're a GOOD MAN, wawadave!
I mean that from the bottom of my heart, too.
And I think you know that, don't you?
