Sure, its entirely OK for you to enter in all categories... a max of one time each. Its entirely possible for someone to win a prize from each category, or some, or none. That'll be decided by random drawing for each category.

Paul, I have a question.

I've already entered my details, but I'm only ALMOST 18. Can you please still add me to the contest, but ship it to my father (or have it under my father's details)?????

Thanks!

It would be maybe easier to have your father register here, enter the contest, win something and pass it on to you. And maybe ask other members, over 18, of your family to do the same?

Paul, you're holding a contest in need of prizes and you didn't tell me? Did Robin steal my cheerleader outfit? Wink weee

As the Host of Team CastleCops, I would like to offer Free memberships to our Team*. (*folding required -- but you don't have to be 18 to do that)

It's difficult to place a value on saving a life, and MasterCard would probably sue me if I said the feeling you get when you contribute with a team was priceless, so I'll let your accountant figure it out. Smile

How big do you want this to get? I'm just now getting ideas, and the contest has already started. I'm wondering if I can get a college education donated. I'd have to talk to a few people, but that is a very real possibility, as well as a reason to "sign up for your kids".

Computer Security and Education, isn't that your motto?

<... I still can't believe he didn't tell me about the contest weee>

Does that mean I have to quit before I win a copy of software I already bought? weee

Rules wrote:
EXCLUSIONS

Employees, volunteer staff, officers and directors of Sponsor and Promoters, their respective parents, subsidiaries, and agents, as well as the immediate family (defined as parents, spouses, children, siblings and grandparents) and household members of each such employee, officer and director are not eligible. By participating, entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.

Omerr, do you have a dog? He could probably enter, provided he's over 2-1/2 years old *18 in dog years*. Oh, wait, household members are excluded too. He would have to live in a dog house in your yard to be eligible.

It would be funny if it won the scholarship to my college though, eh? (should that happen).

Hey what about using the green background to promote the team? (I know you made such suggestions prior)

How about putting us back on the front page, or the menu on the left? You said it was a good idea, now you just have to do it. Simple as pie.

Hi Tim, lets not hijack this thread, but to your question lets route all that thru the team's committee.

Sorry, Paul (and everyone). It seems Robin hired an overly enthusiastic host for the forum. I'll be sure to give him a smack upside the head for you. Wink

Just to get the details straight, say my friend Save__the_Gnome wants to enter. She folds, but has no other ties with CastleCops outside of telling me, "Red, you bring off-topic to a whole new standstill."

She could go to the contest page, check every box, and enter her personal information. She types "yes" in the box at the bottom. She then clicks "Enter Contest" and she is entered in every drawing and eligible to win in each of them, correct?

In other words, you don't have to enter one contest at a time, you can enter them all at once, should you choose to do so, right?

Right so you enter your Entrant information one time, but you can enter into each category only once. "Each category" = none, one, many, or all.

So you can enter into Prevx for instance and nothing else. Or Prevx, Microsoft, Malwarebytes, or everything. They are all categories in this contest.

The reason why this was done is so that no one gets "stuck" with a prize they do not want. I've given folks the ability to choose which prizes they want to enter for a chance to win.

Leave it to an MVP to answer a yes or no question with 88 words. weee

Let me see if I can explain to humans what this means.

If you're greedy and want all the software, you can check all the boxes and enter once. You are eligible to win all of them.

If you are smart and wanted to get MailWasher Pro, you could enter that one alone.

If you then decided that PestPatrol was to your liking as well, you could enter that contest by filling out another form. That would not be considered a duplicate entry, as you are entering two different drawings.

If you check everything and enter, fine. If you think doing it again will help your odds, it won't. Only one entry per contestant.

Do I understand this correctly, Paul?

No [ ]

Its a multiple choice selection page. The categories you select will then disappear from future selections. If you select them all, you have no more to choose. In theory, one can win a prize from each category, in some, or none. Its all random.

I can see generally people understand this as I look into the system. It just seems there is a small percentage of folks who aren't sure.
