there is the possibility that Paul might put it here: /downloads.html he has a lot of good stuff archived there. the only place i know to get ERASER V.5.7 is here at CCSP. no one else is keeping it available, and i use it practically every day. /downloads-file-356-details-_Eraser.html you don't want to use v.5.8 !!!! Yikes,it is scary!

here is the new version i've been working on

it changes the spybot icon + creates a castlecops folder on your desktop (with a link to the site)

i'm afraid the uninstaller isen't quite uptodate so it leaves some files behind

here is a standalone uninstaller (updated)

it should remove any trace (files only - not folders) of the skins

please run it before installing the newest version if you have been using older ones

it neads to be run as an administrator

that might work (i didn't create my avatar- that's the spyware doctor logo)

i've incuded a frost style skin in the latest release

could you give me some feedback about how effective the uninstaller is (i can't really test it on by computer as i have draft components of the skin everywhere)

do you know much about batch files, i can't seem to ba able to remember the command to delete folders and the uninstaller needs to be able to remove one from the desktop

i know people that write scripts for others and one that i ask to do that is in the U.K. he comes and goes from one of the sites i visit. his uname is steven2004 @ THE ELDERGEEK.COM. http://www.theeldergeek.com/forum/index.php?showuser=3579 I'LL TRY THE UNINSTALLER FOR YOU. it will be later though.

never mind, i sorted the batch Very Happy

i was doing it right after all, the folder was created as read-only (don't know why and i can't seem to change it)

does the uninstaller still leave a empty file on your desktop too?

I will have to download the skinner and see what I can do. I made that Calendar of Updates skin for Spybot Search & Destroy years ago and forgot all about it.

also i have tweaked it so it can run any program/open any file, during setup (eg. self extracting archives or textfiles, in the future i might even make it open spybot when finished)

i've fixed some small bugs and now you don't need to run uninstaller before installing

i've incuded a cleanup in the installer to remove files left-over from old versions

i have also improved the uninstaller
