I am a new guy of linux.I have installed vectorlinux on my computer.But i don't know how to control it,i mean,i need some docs for guide,so that i can learn linux step by step without losing my direction.
If you have advices,docs or good links about it,pls offer me without hesitate.Tks for your offer with best regard.

There is usually extensive documentation in the form of "man pages". From a console (terminal) type man the name of the package or function you want to know about

Also, you might consider buying a "Linux for Dummies" book. no, I am not calling you a dummy. It's just that they provide a very basic format and tend to add enough humor that the reading is not so painful. There may even be a Vectorlinux specific book.

Finally, you may want to go with a more user friendly flavor of Linux. I recommend Mandrake, as it has excellent hardware support, and many good software packages prebuilt for it. It has a SUPER easy install and a GUI tool for just about everything from ACPI configuration to ZIP archives.

I use Fedora Core - It is easy to use. You do not have to be a command line expert to use it as the graphic KDE or Gnome options are straight foreward to use.
