I think I have accidentally stumbled onto the way to send e-mails to the yourjunk@knujon.com address.

Been using this for the last 72 hours in Thunderbird and it seems to work, but I thought I would post it here to see if anyone else gets the same results.

1. Wait until you have more than 1 spam e-mail to send
2. Select E-mails
3. Right Click and Select "Send as Attachment"
4. In the new e-mail thats opened delete the entire "Subject" Line
5. Hit Send

Depending on how you have Thunderbird set you may get a message asking you to confirm if you want to send an e-mail with a black subject line......just say yes.

Doing the above I have gone from 90% bounces to no bounces in the last 72 hours.

Doesn't work for me, still 90% bounces with that method.

Same here 100% bounce

I've never gotten a bounce. I see very few of my submissions on the weekly reports, so I wonder what happens to them?

A short history of the different ways I've reported spam to Knujon....

1. Downloaded spam to Outlook 2003, attached all messages to a single email to yourjunk(at)knujon.com - a few bounces, more than I would have liked.

2. Downloaded spam to Outlook 2003, saved all to folder, zipped up and emailed as as a single attachment to yourjunk(at)knujon.com - still a few bounces.

3. As (2), but ftp'd zip file to knujon - no bounces, but some extra work.

These ways were time consuming for me, since Outlook 2003 choked on many of the spam, crashing several times each session, so I had to manually delete the downloaded emails from the server and then restart the Outlook (LookOut?) download again. (All Office 2003 & Outlook 2003 patches applied but of little help, thanks Bill!)

4. Now using a modded Mailwasher Pro to report spam to knujon_us(at)yahoo.com - 1 bounce out of hundreds, acceptable and the easiest option by far, no need to download the spam to Outlook, and MW Pro also reports the spam to SpamCop.

As Knujon has mentioned, they will soon have their own email server and bouncing will be history.

How do you make this modification?

I didn't discover this brilliant fix. If the person who did reads this, take a bow!

You need to be a Knujon member and have MW Pro version 5.2 (this fix does not work with version 5.3 or later), the one that still has the "Blue Frog" Spam Tool in it. After BF went, version 5.3 was released with this option removed.

Disclaimer: It involves making changes to your registry, so unless you know what you're doing, DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS.

Close MW Pro.

There are 3 registry values to change, you can either search the registry for "bluesecurity" to locate them, or navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Firetrust/Mailwasher Pro/Prefs.

The 3 to change are the *values* next to...

Blue Frog Email (change the value to "knujon_us@yahoo.com" (without the quotes))
Blue Frog Username (change the value to "knujon_us")
Blue Security Domain (change the value to "@yahoo.com")

Then go to MW Pro/Spam Tools/Blue Frog option to check that it's set correctly. Make sure your Blue Frog reporting option is on, and then all you need to do is check the Blue Frog box next to spam and it'll be sent to knujon when you Process Mail.

Further caviat: This solution does not work with the latest MWP release .. v 5.3question. The latest release was issued expressly to drop BlueFrog support.

How DO you FTP the mail to KnujOn? I tried logging onto their FTP server, (using a simple command-line FTP client), but anonymous logins are not allowed and I couldn't work out what I was supposed to use for my UserID/Password combination. I have searched and searched their website, but I can't find any instructions specific to the FTP server. There is one mention of it, right at the bottom of the page describing how to forward the spam to them, but, unfortunately, there is no explanation of how to use it.

I tried the two email addresses I have registered with them, as well as my full name (which is, obviously in their database).

I did manage to forward email in a zip archive to them - all attachments were removed and the email was forwarded as plain text. The emails to yourjunk@knujon.com are all bouncing at the moment - mostly the "mailbox full" error - but the ones to the yahoo address are not. (However, just because I'm not receiving bounced emails from the yahoo address, doesn't mean that my emails are actually getting through).

I also sent an email to the contact address requesting further info about the FTP method, but I haven't heard anything back yet, but it's only been about 36 hours since I sent the email, and I know that they're pretty busy.

Anyway, if anyone here DOES know how to login to their FTP server, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know. If you don't want to do it publicly, you can PM me. I AM a genuine registered KnujOn Beta Tester.

Thanks, Karlston. I am very experienced doing direct editing of the registry, I'm in and out of the registry all the time, but I also have v5.3 of MWP, so I will have to see if I can find my copy of v5.2 to do this.

Sorry, but I won't post the FTP address/username/password here or as a PM, hope you understand...

If you still have your Knujon report emails from around 19/6 and 13/6, all except one of those has the FTP information you need and how to use it (near the end).

OK, thanks, I'll check to see if I have them.

First of all, I want to thank Knujon for picking up where Blue Security left off. My spam at one of my two Knujon-registered email addresses has been greatly reduced, in fact I have not received ANY in the last two days! I have been a beta tester since June 17th. I can get email to yourjunk, but most of the stock ones are getting bounced since yesterday.

I also have a Yahoo email address I use for websites that ask for an email address and I don't want their email. (But I don't YET report any from there nor have registered it with Knujon -- way too much in Bulk folder til Knujon creates a BS-like interface for Yahoo!) But tonight when I tried to get my email there, I found that I can not get to ANY Yahoo sites. I am wondering if anyone has had spam sent to the knujon_us@yahoo.com address had it bouncing tonight?

I also wanted to ask anyone else who has been a beta tester for this same short a time (10 days), if they have received any reports? I have not and wonder why?

Thanks! Very Happy
