so yeah im brand new to the site and probably doin this all wrong but i need help.....i have a Vimicro USB PC Camera (ZC0301PLH) webcam and i dont have the installation cd.....is there any way to download a free driver fer the darn thing?

Yeah, you posted in the wrong forum - this one, "General Site", is for site related issues.
That said, see here. Note the comment that Vimicro is no longer in business and there are NO drivers for Windows Vista .
