I've been a Zone Alarm user for years, going back at least to 2.0, possibly to 1.0. With my ZASS license expiring, I decided to try out OA as my software firewall, and NOD32 as my AV solution. I ran into a lot of "overnight errors" with OA, so much so that I had to uninstall and reinstall ZASS. I didn't like going back to ZASS, so I went back to OA. Same problem. After reading several reviews, I decided to install the trial version of Norton Internet Security 2008. Well, my first impression is that I'm not impressed. I mean, come on, you can't even selectively turn Internet access on/off. And what's up with the syslogs (or absence of them)? I think it's a fairly polished application, but appears to be geared towards the non-security types.
I like all the features of ZASS, but I just don't like the resources it consumes. I don't want to ask, "What's the best Internet Security Suite", because I'll probably get too many different opinions. So how about if I ask, which one is most like ZASS in features and protection?
Thanks!
Chuck

Be careful with Zone Alarm. It has back doors. I suggest Comodo or F-Secure.

There might be some reason to be careful with ZA but back door is not one of them
