This program runs separately from the BOINC servers and I know CastleCops runs on this so I thought it might be interesting to bring it up.

Hi tyciol.
Until about a year ago, there was a very dynamic and active Folding@Home community within CastleCops. I believe you came aboard around the time the decision was made to close the Folding forum along with the other Team CastleCops forums.
The BOINC component of what was to become Team CastleCops came into being over three years ago because F@H announced they were planning on porting work units to run on the BOINC platform and I took it upon myself to start the first teams bearing a CastleCops name hoping to give a CastleCops team a head start as we awaited the F@H component to become available to the general public. At the time, the F@H team was still growing and climbing the standings and we hoped to break into the top 100 teams.
At that time a team with as many points as the team currently has was guaranteed a spot in the top 100. Times change and unfortunately this is no longer true.
Although team 35586 is enjoying an increase in weekly production (bolstered primarily by former team leader, rsclark3's new-found vigor, the percentage of active participants continues to diminish and the team continues to loose ground in the standings!
Even with the reopening of this section, active participation is sadly still lacking. Those of us heavily involved in helping shape this team long ago realized that more participation was crucial to help us gain our place in the top 100. Some of the better recommendations suggested to help achieve this, were never put into action. If not for patermann's continued dedication, the current stats would not appear in the CC wiki!
F@H for BOINC has yet to make it out of the BETA stage and may now be a dead proposition for all I know. No further additions to the CastleCops BOINC portfolio were ever added, though new possibly worthy projects are added regularly.
As for the future of what will happen with these teams, it appears we must wait and see what new decisions will be made. As to what you linked to in the wiki, I wish that whomever posted from my original article, had edited or removed the obsolete links.
