Hi,
Don't you think it could be useful to have a new subdivision where the
members could post the heads up for all kind of updates regardless of the
category(AV,AT, anti spyware etc)?So everyone could easily check if a new update is available for one of his softwares?
Just my two cents idea

Yah... its me, I just never log in (or forget to) in locations outside of home. I have a work laptop I need to set my login to when at home.

Personally, I don't think that this is a good idea, although it's unusual for me to see something you post that I can disagree with. I think that this Forum for updates might get a little cumbersome unless people make sure to have a really appropriate title to their post of an update. If not, it's going to be rather hard to find something someone might be looking for and might have to plow through a lot of other posts before finding it.

Hi JKK,
No problem with me if you disagree.That's why a forum is made for an besides you do it in such a nice way Wink .
I don't think it is so difficult to signal simply and clearly a new update(don't forget the date to please PHOENIX22 Wink .)
I saw such a division in others forums and it works quite well and easily.
And it's one of the most used subdivisions in these forums
A lot of my friends went there first because of the update(or give it an other name it does not matter)subdivision and then got interested in the rest of the site.This could(maybe)attract more members to Computer Cops.
Anyway if Paul disagrees with the idea it won't be a problem for me

I don't write programs and have no idea of how this site is set up so don't know if the following is even possible. I might suggest having a separate Forum provided it is broken down into specifics such as AV, Anti Trojan, firewall, etc. At least that way, everything wouldn't be mixed up within one big space and if someone wasn't interested in a firewall for instance and wasn't looking to see if there was an update, they wouldn't have to click on that specific area within the Upgrade Forum.

Lot of them out there need and really want help without telling you how much they hate the product the other guy is using. If you want to open up your doors to the homeless..go for it.


They just want real answers to simple questions. That is what we are here for...It comes with the territory.
