My Score:

I have been a loyal customer to McAfee ever since they released version 4 in 1999. I have never experienced any problems with this product and it has always detected in real time viruses, so they never had a real chance to install itself.

TrojanHunter does complement this well like someone pointed out here. The only drawback to it is that TH renames the infected files, in which McAfee still picks them up. All trojanHunter users - search for .TCF files on your PC and you''d be suprised that the trojans are still there, just renamed.

As long as MCafee continues with their superior product I will never switch to one of the competitors. Even if a PC that I may buy in the future has another antivirus on it I will remove it if it isnt McAfee.

As an antivirus it''s detection rate is outstanding.
For trojans and keyloggers I use BoClean, an excellent program.

You have to look at the competition.. NAV (out of the box) finds all the trojans without asking you for more money or making you tweak the product.

My Score:

To detect trojans, get an anti-trojan scanner such as TrojanHunter, Ewido or TDS-3. Trojans are not viruses. Exceedingly few applications are available to detect rootkits, nevermind antivirus applications.
