Compare Product Reviews in this ClassHere's my review of Zero Spyware 2005 ver 3.2.36.4. 15 day fully functional trial.
Installation:You download and run a small downloader program. After that, installation is easy.
Ease of Use:Zero Spyware is easy to use.The Interface makes settings and components very accessable.
There are a lot more features than I expected.Prevention,real-time monitoring, scanner, report to the developer, vulnerability scan to name a few.
The scanner is very configurable.Scanning speed was reasonably fast.It is thorough. There is a nice option in the scanner console to switch to compact mode which minimises to a small panel on the bottom of the screen.
Updates(General Settings tab)are configurable also.Auto,Manual, and Notify are the options available.
I have found detections updates once or twice a week.
Customer Support via live chat or e-mail have been excellent!
I gave Zero Spyware a minor deduction for the price. It's just under $30 where CounterSpy is $20.Still not bad for a price.
Overall Feeling:I have been surprised with this program's features, support, and the way it runs on my computer.Resource usage while surfing(not scanning)has been relatively light.Task Manager shows 9184k with peak RAM usage at 22192.System startup is noticably faster than with Giant.
Reliability:This program has been delisted from the rogue antispyware list.My experiences with Zero Spyware have been positive. It's stable and I don't get a load of false positives from it.
