Recently purchased licensed version of TrojanHunter 4.2. Had immediate probem with it's inability to complete a scan in either Quick or Full Mode. The only way to exit the program was via Task Manager. Recieved only one reply via e-mail from their tech support section advising me to shut down all programs in System Tray which I did with no luck. Deleted the program, re-installed( more than once ) with all security programs disabled with same overall results.
Went to TrojanHunter Help sections in their Forums and pursued the suggestions listed there ie., Updated NVidia driver, renamed a start-up file, disabled NVidia desktop manager upon start up( all in various combinations). The scan worked once, then froze again, then my system became unstable and at one point resorted to pulling the plug as it was completely unresponsive.
Removed TrojanHunter 4.2 via Add/Remove. Now my baby is running as well previously for now. The above results are frustrating since I'd run the 4.1 version on my old rig without a problem. The only major difference is I switched form XP Home to XP Professional.
After 3 weeks(+) I still have only one reply via e-mail from their tech support.
Guess I'll have to wait for someone at the manufacturer to issue a patch or maybe even wait for TrojanHunter 4.3. I won't be holding my breath.
It's great that there's no charge for yearly updates/subscriptions, assuming the program works which for me wasn't a great experience. If your graphics is NVidia, beware this program !! And don't expect too much help from tech support.

Glad it would appear you read these reviews. It''s an strong indication you care about your customers...not something you see much of these days. Thanx again.

Glad it had a happy ending, Du-Ren. I am one of the global mods now at TH forum and my colleague Siliconman01 was the person who helped you. For those needing help, visit forum.misec.net and select the section or board {Scanner, Guard, etc.} which matches your particular problem. Forex, the link to the Scanner section is: http://www.misec.net/forum/?board=TrojanHunter

Although it was one of my most difficult installs I have to be fair and make additional entry regarding TrojanHunter 4.2 Once one of the Global Managers at the manufacturer''s Forum/Support pages locked onto my problem he took the time to stick with me and find a solution to the scanning problem...and it worked. And their responses were daily or better versus the 1 reply I received via e-mail tech support.
When this program works...it''s one of the best out there. Be prepared for a little tweaking if you''re using NVidia graphics. And believe that it''ll be well worth it. A very warm thanks to the manufacturer.
