I like this product for the following reasons:
1) Very customisable with its filter. Gary's filter is a good place to start
2) Handles stuff at the server before it comes into my computer
3) If you disable the log, it has a very small foot print and CPU consumption.
4) Has a very good support forum, so never have to write to the company itself
5) The filter combines well with the Bayesian filter. This is important becuase spammer always find cleverer tricks over time, so no single solution will remain good for too long.

People may not like this software for the following reasons:
1) Needs a bit of time to set up well. But given that spammer always have some clever tricks over time, the customization and tedious-ness is a trade off. The software could do with a better tutorial and incorporate some of the filters that user can disable if they wish. It is important to explain how to set up the restore email.
2) The bounce feature is not useful most time. You already know this if you read the forum. Mailwasher should change its product positioning!
